Hand Therapy Program

Hand therapy is the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper extremity of the human body. Hand Therapists are Occupational Therapists or Physical Therapists who, through extra training and experience, have specialized knowledge of upper extremity function. Using specialized skills in assessment and treatment, hand therapists work with their clients to prevent injury or impairment restore functional activity, and enhance participation in daily life.

Our Program:

Our Hand Therapy Program features a multi-disciplinary team that has Occupational and Physical Therapists who specialize in hand therapy and have undergone extensive training in rehabilitation of conditions that affect the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Our therapists work collaboratively with your family and your referring physician to determine the best treatment plan for your child.

Our Hand Therapy program is designed for patients of all ages from children with muscle contractures, hand fractures and neuromuscular problems to adults with tendonitis, fractures, and carpal tunnel syndrome. In addition, we offer custom splinting, orthotics, and bracing.
