The therapists at ECA/ Wellness Works have been wonderful, nurturing, and extremely helpful both to my daughters and me. My daughter started out screaming hysterically for the entire hour, and now she marches right into the clinic with a wide smile. My daughter used to be afraid of the vacuum cleaner, hiking shoes and anything she associated with loud noises such as weed whackers and sweepers. She is 2 years old. Our Parenting Specialist showed us how to let K approach, touch and start getting some comfort and even trust those things she was afraid of like the vacuum cleaner. After repeated exercises, K is completely comfortable touching and even playing with the vacuum. Our daughter was also having a lot of trouble brushing her teeth. She completely abhored the toothbrush. After the Parent Specialist helped us with some techniques K lost her fear of things associated with loud noises and is getting better at brushing her teeth.

I have been going to Wellness Works for about a month now. I have had some problems with my shoulder, and no matter how many chiropractor visits or massages I got, it never seemed to get better. Finally I got a referral from my doctor to go to physical therapy. I chose Wellness Works because of the very informative and friendly staff on the phone. When I arrived at my first appointment, again I was treated in a very friendly and professional manner. My physical therapist, Diana was amazing! She seemed to know exactly how to pinpoint the origin of the pain that I was having in my shoulder. She was extremely informed and explained the details of the medical terminology to me. I went into Wellness Works with lots of pain and discomfort, and now, only one month later, I feel a thousand times better! Diana also gives me exercises to do at home and helps me to be aware of the way I carry my body. With this awareness, I can make sure that I don’t fall into old habits and then I can feel pain free for life! I highly recommend Wellness Works for their professionalism, knowledge, expertise, and overall friendliness!

I want to thank everyone at Wellness Works for their patience, kindness, understanding, professionalism, sympathy & empathy during my son’s sessions with Priyanka Raikar, MA, OTR/L, Sensory Integration. Priyanka, from day one, was caring, yet firm with my
son’s situation of only eating a few items. With the help of Priyanka & Trish Brown, OTR/L, my son has gone from eating 5 items (since 18 months old) to trying new foods on a weekly basis & gradually increasing his food up to 13 NEW ITEMS!!
This is major for me & my entire family & we would not have achieved this without their professional help. I am a proud, stubborn mom who at one time thought I can work miracles of my own & get my son to eat more things, yet, I was stressing myself out & my whole family in the process. Thanks to my pediatrician & his role in sending me to Wellness Works, I was able to meet with Trish & Priyanka, they assessed the situation & were very thorough, I might add. My husband & I were a little skeptical in the beginning because we felt if we could not get our son to eat anything else, what miracle can these ladies do for us? Well, what can I say….miracles happen along with smart ladies who know what they are doing & know how to talk to parents in the process to give us the ammunition we need to help our son along.
The encouragement these professionals have provided for us has been incredibly beneficial in helping our son make wise choices. It has opened our eyes to so many things that can be applied in other aspects of our lives as well and for that….we are eternally grateful.
Finally, I cannot say enough about the staff up front, from greeting the children by name (after all…IT IS ABOUT THEM), asking how they are doing in school, to just comforting them. A.G. 8 year old son receiving Feeding Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
I started my PT sessions at Wellness Works with Diana about 4 months ago. I am currently 8 months pregnant and I suffer from severe neck pain as I have 3 herniated discs in my neck. My doctors have recommended surgery as my only option for a cure, but since I cannot have surgery while pregnant, PT was recommended as my only “current” option due to the circumstances. Realty really set in for me when I held my friend’s baby and due to the severe discomfort of the pain, numbness and tingling that was radiating in my arm to my hand, I could only hold her for no more than 5 minutes before I had to give her back to her mom.
I immediately became concerned as I had no idea what was to come upon the birth of my son. Was I even going to be able to hold my own son for longer than 5 minutes at a time? It became very disconcerting and therefore, I proceeded immediately in getting a prescription from my doctor for PT services. I am happy to report that 4 months after receiving PT services from Diana, I went to a birthday party, held another friend’s baby who was significantly heavier than the baby I held 4 mos. ago and much to my surprise, it was 20 minutes later and I had no pain, numbness or tingling.
I have Diana to thank for that!! Obviously I am not “cured” from the disc herniations in my neck, but come 4 weeks from now, I know I won’t have a problem holding my child which is very comforting to know! Not only does Diana provide excellent services at the time of treatment, she also gives exercises to do throughout the week to strengthen weakened areas. I should also give props to the front office staff at Wellness Works, as they are extremely professional and they also call the day before to confirm appointments which is a bonus. It is also important to note that Wellness Works is a very well kept environment. I would highly recommend coming to Wellness Works for PT services… if they can help a pregnant girl with 3 herniated discs and surgery being the only option to correct the issue, they can help anyone!!
